When I was still a teenager, I would help my mother paint her sewing items and I would marvel at the result. Those moments awakened in me a fascination with the creative process, a special charm for the handmade, the careful craftsmanship and the beauty of the details.
Over time, I decided to study languages, immersing myself in the world of words and cultures. In order to pay for my studies, I started working at an early age, and my career path took me to different areas. I worked in malls, stores and later in hotels and tourism. Leaving my hometown was a big step, but it was through this change that I discovered a new world, full of opportunities and learning. I met people from different backgrounds, absorbed stories, traditions and perspectives that have shaped who I am today.
In 2012, I took an even bigger leap and began a new phase of my life in the Middle East, more precisely in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. I worked in renowned locations and had the honor of living with many different nationalities. I enthusiastically embraced each culture, but it was in the Asian and Arab ones that I found a special identification. The richness of the customs, the depth of the traditions and the respect for craftsmanship enchanted me deeply and became part of me.
Despite all my professional success, something inside me remained unsettled. As much as I was involved in great experiences, the feeling that I was building other people's dreams and not my own never left me. I always dreamed of creating something with my own hands, something that reflected my essence and brought a deeper meaning to my work.
It was only in 2020, when I returned to Brazil, that this dormant dream finally awoke. It was then that I rediscovered myself as an artisan. As I explored the world of ceramics, modeling and creation, I felt truly fulfilled. The texture of the clay between my fingers, the transformation of the raw material into art and the possibility of shaping something unique brought me a sense of belonging that I had never experienced before.
Each piece I create carries a piece of me. Knowing that my creations travel the world, finding a place in different homes, taking with them a bit of my history and my love of art, is something indescribable. This realization made me realize that I was finally living my own dreams and no longer building those of others.
That's how AGAS was born, in the midst of the pandemic, in a moment of deep reflection and self-discovery. What began as a search for identity became a brand, a life project, an expression of my love for handicrafts. Today, AGAS is more than a name, it is a reflection of my journey, my experiences and my passion for creation.
Each piece I shape is a testimony to my journey, my commitment and my desire to transform the world, even in small details. I believe that art has the power to connect souls, tell stories and eternalize moments. And that's exactly what drives me every day: the certainty that, through my hands, I leave a legacy of beauty, authenticity and emotion.
